Why Choose Radiant

Not all pelvic floor PT is the same. Here’s what sets Radiant apart.

Board-Certified Specialist

Dr. Danaya earned the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC)—requiring 2,000+ hours of direct pelvic patient care, 200+ hours of advanced training, and a proctored exam covering hormones, surgical outcomes, and complex cases. DPT programs barely cover the pelvic floor. Her specialized coursework is what makes the difference.

I Can Treat You as a Whole Person

Insurance limits PT to 20-minute visits, hands you off to aides, and denies approval after a handful of sessions. Cash-based care means Dr. Danaya treats head to toe—your back, your hips, your core, your pelvic floor—without a diagnosis code telling her what she’s allowed to touch.

Know What You’re Paying

No surprise bills, no confusing insurance statements. See our pricing—HSA and FSA accepted. We provide superbills for insurance reimbursement, and most patients with high-deductible plans find the out-of-pocket cost comparable to in-network.

A Full Hour, Every Time

60-minute sessions, one-on-one, with the same provider every visit. No rotating therapists. No aides. At least half of every session is education—because Dr. Danaya wants you to understand your body well enough that you don’t need her forever.

Conditions We Treat

Specialized pelvic floor physical therapy for the conditions that affect women most—during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

Dr. Danaya Kauwe, pelvic floor physical therapist in Utah Valley

Dr. Danaya Kauwe, PT, DPT, PRPC

Danaya is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner who understands—both professionally and personally—that life brings transitions we never planned for, and strength we didn't know we had.

As a Gold Star widow, Danaya became a solo mother to two young children after losing her husband. She navigated postpartum and grief simultaneously, rebuilt her life, remarried, and welcomed two more children. She has been postpartum four times—in joy, in sorrow, in transition, and in new beginnings.

That lived experience shapes every aspect of her care. She doesn't offer platitudes about “bouncing back” because she knows bodies—and lives—don't work that way.

As a former NCAA Division I track and field athlete at Southern Utah University, she brings an athlete's understanding of performance, injury, and recovery to her work. Now based in Lehi with her family, Dr. Danaya serves women throughout Utah Valley—particularly those returning to high-level activity after pregnancy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?
Utah is a Direct Access state - meaning no referral required!
How does payment work?
Insurance limits PT to 20-minute visits, hands patients off to aides, and often stops covering care before you’ve reached your goals. Cash-based means Dr. Danaya can treat you for a full hour, address your whole body, and keep working with you until you’re actually better—not until an insurance company decides you’re done. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and we provide superbills for insurance reimbursement. Most patients with high-deductible plans use HSA anyway, so the out-of-pocket cost is often comparable to in-network. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation and we’ll walk through your specific options.
What happens during a session?
Your first visit (60 minutes) starts with your story and goals. Then Dr. Danaya assesses everything that attaches to and affects the pelvis—your back, hips, core, breathing, and movement patterns—before evaluating pelvic floor muscle strength, coordination, and whether muscles are squeezing when they should squeeze and relaxing when they should relax. Ongoing sessions may include manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and education. We bring everything needed—treatment table, equipment, and supplies. Learn more about what to expect →
Is internal pelvic floor assessment required?
No. Internal assessment is often the most effective way to evaluate pelvic floor muscle function, but it's always optional.
Can I have my baby at my appointments?
Absolutely. In-home visits are designed with postpartum life in mind. Your baby - and any other children - are welcome.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals. Some patients are symptom-free in 3–4 sessions. Others with more complex or long-standing issues benefit from longer care. Dr. Danaya will give you a realistic timeline at your first visit.
What if I'm years postpartum—is it too late?
It's never too late. We regularly work with women who are months, years, or even decades past childbirth and still see significant improvement.
